‘Beri’ - The Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is inspired by the ‘Dukh Bhanjani Beri’ (the tree that alleviates all suffering), which is created using rare phulkari motifs by our artisans. The ‘Dukh Bhanjani Beri’ is a 400-year-old sacred tree located near the great Sarovar (pond) inside the Golden Temple - Darbar Sahib in Amritsar. According to folklore, a dip in the pond near this tree can relieve all suffering. Adjacent to the phulkari tree of life is a Sarovar, and the artwork also represents other life-sustaining elements. Creating this artwork requires considerable time and effort, and it is made to order.
